Kyle Busch’s Injury Report

It was a cool day in the middle of February, when Kyle Busch sustained an injury that most likely will put him out of Nascar for the rest of the 2015 season. Busch was racing in the Xfinity series Daytona race when massive wreck broke out. Busch slid down the track and careened off of the inside wall, going from 90 miles per hour to 0 in about a second. Busch was slow to climb out of the car, and as paramedics arrived he gestured to his legs. When out of the car he was lowered to the ground and it became evident that he was severely injured.

He was taken to the hospital, and it was later announced he had suffered a compound fracture in his right leg and left foot. For several days he remained in the hospital, with occasional updates from his wife Samantha. After several days he was flown to a hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. Not much more has been said, although many are optimistic that Busch will be able t resume racing before the season’s end. For now all us fans can do is hope and pray. And send our well wishes. And since the wreck Matt Crafton and David Ragan have both substituted for Busch, and it has been announced that Ragan will sub until Busch’s return.
